What does a distant healing Reiki session look like?

Reiki is usually conducted in person. We get together in the same room. The Reiki healer sends Reiki by hovering over, or touching their hands on, the client’s body.

With Reiki we can transcend space and time. Remote healing is a bit different than a regular Reiki session. The benefits though are the same. Reiki is not the only distant healing method. There are others and most of them have a few similarities.

I have had the pleasure of being in the UK and working with people in Sweden, US, Canada and Greece. But how does it work?

How does Reiki distant healing work?

Arrange a time to “meet”, yes make an appointment. Although we can send Reiki without an appointment, I find that it is best to spend some time and prepare for it.

Pretend for a moment that you are meeting with me. One reasons is that you give yourself the time and space to be on your own. Some special “me time” to relax and enjoy yourself.

Tuning in

The second step after having a specific time, is to think of each other and to have the intention of connecting. The most powerful way to tune into each other, is through the power of love.

At the moment, I am conducting online Reiki via Zoom which makes it easier for both of us to feel safe and connected.

Tuning in helps us create a better connection between us. It is about taking responsibility of the process. To be active and take part in the session.

I dropped into a deeper meditative state whereby there was a very real feeling of clarity. I started to feel what I can only describe as energy flowing through me, coming in waves that were intense and then less intense.

Benefits of distant healing

One great benefit of a remote healing session is that you are in control of your own environment. You can use candles (make sure you are safe). Your favourite relaxing music, incense, essential oils. You name it, whatever helps you relax (no baths please). Of course you get all of the other Reiki benefits as well.

It really worked for me as I could feel the intense heat in the areas I experience pain (physical) and felt totally relaxed

Cool! But seriously, how does remote Reiki healing work?

There is no secret sauce. In short we use a Reiki distant healing symbol. Visualisation and intention for healing. Bound by our will to help, to serve, to love and care for others.

Reiki presupposes that we are all part of a greater whole. We are all connected to this source of universal energy and consciousness. There is a field beyond the one that we can see around us all. A place that we are all connected.

Science has been talking about the unified field. Quantum physics talks about everything being light and energy. About parallel universes.

We create an invisible connection, the healing energy travels through that connection. The energy is not bound to distance or time.

Water finds its way down the mountain. There is no need to do anything or tell it where to go. Gravity does the work.

In the west we feel the need to DO and exert effort. Reiki is on the other end of the spectrum. Actually the less we do the better the work gets done.

Open to receive

I can promise you that in my hand I have a golden coin! How can you know? You can only learn by doing. Open your hand and close your eyes. I place the coin on your hand. You open your eyes and see what it is that you have received.

What do you think? Would you like to have a distant healing session?

I was surprised that it would work in this way but for me it certainly did. Give distance healing a try.
